Having inflicted extremely heavy losses on enemy patrols over the past weeks, high command have recognised his bravery and skill with a promotion to 1stLtn.
When interviewed after the award ceremony, 1stLtn Raven credited his high success rate to the countless hours of practice he endured with one of his wingmates, 2nd Ltn Rapier.
"Shootin the win gs off that bloody pie eater is a great way to improve one's aim..." he commented.
Many pies were consumed in the mess hall after the ceremony.
